This idea originated on back to back road trips throughout Georgia with a young toddler in search of restaurants with playgrounds off the highway. Each trip was approximately 6 hours of driving, and we really were searching for a spot to take a break, stretch our legs, and let our daughter get some energy out on a playground. The problem was we had no way of finding where that highway pit stop was, and from there the idea of the Traveling Parent was born. Shortly thereafter I realized I was looking for more than just kid friendly restaurants. I wanted a parenting resource for my day to day needs so I could easily find the solution in minutes. Based on my experiences over the past few years, I’ve ran into parenting issues that inspired this website as a solution to those problems.
The Traveling Parent is a local guide for a parent’s day to day needs. The goal is to allow parents to easily find the best doctors, day care, kid activities, services, and restaurants nearby for their children. We have narrowed down the search to a short list of businesses that accommodate specifically families, and have provided a platform for parents to speak out about their experiences. Businesses can now advertise and communicate to their target audience, and parents can now make great decisions in everyday parenthood. I hope you find our website informative and easy to guide through.
